Ok…hang on. It’s summer. 2017. What the heck?!!
I am sitting outside writing this and looking at the flowers growing on my porch and the tomato plant that looks like it will be loaded soon. Yay!
There has been a lot going on with me health wise and I really have contemplated writing about it for sometime. I feel like I am getting a handle on things and thought I would share it with you and the products I have been using (along with life-style changes) in the chance that it might help someone.
I know I have spent countless hours on the computer researching and looking for remedies. While I don’t claim to have all the answers I know what is working for me and want to share it with you. If you have any questions along the way (I will share in multiple posts) I will do my best to help you out and get an answer. Just one tip for today…if you have been sitting at your computer now for hours…get up and walk around and have a big glass of water. It will help you refocus and feel better. Promise!
All I know is at 50+ it is not fun to wake up not feeling good, no energy, anxiety out the wazoo and feeling depressed about it. I am determined not to let these things rule my life and to enjoy the next 50 years at their fullest.
Sooooo, I just wanted to check in and let you know that I am still alive and doing better and to wish you a fantastic summer full of special times with family, friends, grill days and no mosquito bites! LOL
I would love to hear from you! What are you up to this summer? Going on vacation? Stay-cation? What is your favorite thing about summer?
Much love, Cindy
I’m back! That was a crazy couple of weeks. First I got sick and then my blog disappeared. Yep. Just poof! and it was gone. I was working on it one day and then the next it wasn’t there. It was the most puzzling thing ever. I could not fathom where it was…floating on a cloud, took a vaca, was out shopping, perhaps napping? I waited a few days and then had to call a professional in. My daughter. Yep, she is my hero. There was a form that had been downloaded (by her) and the blog just decided that it didn’t like it there. So, the form is gone and the blog rebooted (I like to think a swift kick in the rear) and viola! it is back.
I sampled this cereal for you! Special K comes up with some pretty great flavors. How about the one with chocolate bits in it or strawberry? Anywhoooooo…I like pumpkin and spice and get excited when the flavor debuts every year. I don’t try much of it I must confess. I mean some things like little muffins and packaged things just don’t do it for me. I am more of get a pumpkin spice latte once or twice (ok, I’m lying…three) and make some pumpkin scones. I prefer the homemade goodies…altho’, starbucks has a pretty good pumpkin scone. The icing on the top alone is worth the extra sugar rush. This cereal has a hint of pumpkin, not overwhelming at all. MrD thought it was too sweet, but I didn’t get that at all. Just the right amount of spice and sweet.
Wow! Life has really gotten in the way of my blogging lately. LOL First, I took a few days off to get my house cleaned…oh yes, I was getting really behind. When your hubs asks if there will be any clean underwear coming soon you know you’d better stop and catch up on things. Then this last week my daughter’s cosmetology school shut down. You may have seen it in the news. They closed all 79 schools across the country. No warning…one day they were in school then that night they get an email and the next day they were to go to the school and clean out their lockers. Yes…it was very traumatizing. We have since found another school and it looks like it’s all going to work out for the best. So…back to weekly dinner menus and looking for yummy desserts. Apple Scone anyone? Oh yes please! Especially with an apple cider cinnamon glaze.
