Christmas is my favorite holiday hands down. I will spend weeks putting things together because the ideas keep coming! Pink is a new color for me that I have not decorated with in 30+ years. Our first home had mauve carpet (I’m really dating myself now) and I made a bunch of pink taffeta hearts outlined in lace for our tree. Our stockings were made out of the same material and I stitched our names on them. Wow, went down memory lane for a minute!
Let’s decorate a Pink Christmas Tree ♥
In went the traditional red and white with the pink and it turned out so beautiful! This year I have my eye out for some pink candy canes. It’s a whimsy touch and my family loves to swipe them off the tree. Our tree came from King of Christmas and we have been so pleased with the quality! The flocking is just gorgeous and doesn’t flake all over the place. There is a great sale going on at this time of the year so it would be a perfect time to check them out! Use code: FALL2022 to save up to 40%. These are the three that we have from King of Christmas.
These are the steps that I take when decorating a tree:
- Fluff the tree (don’t worry about getting to precise, your ornaments will fill all the holes)
- Put on the topper – you don’t want to worry about knocking any ornaments off after you have decorated
- If you want your tree to look fuller now is the time to add picks that match the color of your tree (ie: green/white)
- Add your larger ornaments from the top to the bottom – I usually start with any that are not the balls
- Next is the balls while looking to fill in any holes
- I like to add some picks to add some dimension – do this at the end for your final touches
A few years ago we bought the Samsung Frame TV and just love it! It’s awesome to change up the picture and I really have a lot of fun with it at Christmas time. Most of this decor came from Target and it should be hitting shelves any day now! The paper stars over the tv I made from paper bags and wrapping paper. This is a fun way to add whatever colors you are decorating with. HERE is the reel that I made last year making them. They are super FUN and EASY!
What colors do you decorate in for Christmas? Do you change it up from year to year? I would LOVE it if you let me know!
