For today’s coffee chat I’m having a steaming brewed cup of Trader Joe’s medium roast with some half and half. That’s pretty much my go to these days. What’s in your cup most mornings? One of these days I will meet you at Cafe Astoria where I snagged this photo from and we can order one of these incredible looking coffees.

I am so glad that March is almost over! To be honest it’s been a bit bummer of a month. It seems like the cold and snow are just dragging on this year and I am deeply jealous of you if you are already wearing shorts and basking in the sunshine. ๐Ÿ™‚ I am counting on April to bring us green grass, flowering bushes and warm days. I can just feel it now.

Why yes, you can have your cupcake AND eat it too! ๐Ÿ™‚ I have been channeling Skinnytaste for about 2 months now and let me tell ya, Gina has some really great recipes and meal plans. Losing weight seems to get harder and harder as the years go by and since I have been preparing the dinners from her site I have dropped four pounds. Four pounds! That is amazing for me. My family loves the dishes and it has made it very easy for me to fix dinner again. She actually has a meal plan schedule and if I did all three meals for the day I’m sure I would lose more. My husband travels a few times a month for his job and this past week he was off to Amsterdam. While he said the city was pretty (he was in the downtown area) there are a lot of “shops” that you just didn’t go in. Maybe if you were to travel the outskirts of the city you might find some really awesome things there. From the sounds of it I don’t think it sounds like a place that I would feel comfortable walking around by myself while he was in the office. Here are a few pictures he snapped for me while he was there. The canals have definitelyย  been used for a movie or two. ๐Ÿ™‚ Have you ever been there before? Am I missing something amazing and should go on his next trip over? Do tell.

On the very first day of the month we had to say our goodbyes to Lucy. She was 13.5 and had some medical issues the last few years. When she started having back to back seizures we knew it was time to let her go. She was the most lovable Dachshund and was happiest snuggled up next to you or in your lap. Things are a little different without her around, but I believe that all dogs go to heaven so we will see her again someday. That’s my theory and I’m sticking to it. ๐Ÿ™‚

I have recently discovered this new cream from O.F.P. Farms. The magnesium in here must be the magical potion because I have used other products and have not gotten the same results. I have bone spurs in my neck (they can scrape them off, but OWIEEE!) so I get a neck ache and headache from them a few times a week. When I rub this cream on my neck within 10-15 minutes it is totally gone! My advil bottle is staying full…no joke. The lotion bar is great for travel and you can smooth it on without touching it. Has a pleasant smell and doesn’t make you want to hold your nose like some other products. You know what I’m talking about. ๐Ÿ™‚ You can read more about this product HERE. While you are at it you can see her adorable goats and all the other products she offers. I use them all. photo via: O.P.F. farms

Well…now my coffee is just about gone. I have enjoyed our chat.

I’m off to make bunny cupcakes…wish me luck.

Have an awesome day!
