Happy Labor Day! We are sticking close to home on this three day weekend. It’s time to replace the pots on my porch and patio with some fall flowers. Whatever you are doing this weekend, I hope it is a great one! Maybe sneak in a sale or two.
MY FAVORITE THINGS IN AUGUST
I know I keep saying it and here I go again. Where has summer gone?! I can’t believe it’s time for My Favorite Things in August. We went to the fair last weekend and you know what they say…summer is over when the fair is over. We enjoyed a few new food items out and saw a new piglet just born. I have never been on a Farris Wheel before and while I love to look at them I really have no desire to ride one. They are so high! Have you ridden one before and did you like it?

Why I love this serum:
As you know I am a face serum lover! I started using serums a few years ago and wish I had started sooner. Anytime is a great time to start though. They just get down deep and help with lines, wrinkles and the overall health of your skin. Don’t forget your neck. My love for dishes.
Next we have Fiesta Ware. My obsession started years ago when we visited a resort that had these dishes in their kitchens. I have about 9 different colors now and recently added this new release for 2019 called Meadow. It is such a pretty soft green and will go with so many colors. I like to mix and match them. They are strong and sturdy and I like that IF you do chip one they are easy to replace. I think in the last 8 years I have chipped only one of them hitting it on the counter on the way into the dishwasher. I’m going to be doing some table settings here soon so be on the lookout for those!
When you need a good deep clean!
I get so much product built up in my hair from all the hairspray and texture powder that I use. The curse blessing of having super thick hair. Often it is hard to get a deep clean and get all the “gunk” out. Enter Orbie Clarifying shampoo. This has been great and gets my hair squeaky clean. Use it once a week to get all the build up out. I like that it comes in a foam and you can control the amount that comes out. A little goes a long way.
These keep their shape all day long.
A few months ago a friend told me about the Dream Jeans from American Eagle. They really are a “dream” jean. They hug you in all the right places and are higher in the waist. I need that for this mom pooch I’ve got going on here. I should really be honest and call it the “ice cream & pizza” pooch. Ha! They are around $90 which is great for a jean this good. They are on sale for Labor Day, 25% off! Do you have a brand of jeans that you always go back to? Do tell!
Will keep you feeling full for hours!
What can I say about these Perfect Bars except, they are perfect! Ya, I know…cheesy. Nope, they are made of peanut butter NOT cheese. Dear sweet baby Jesus, help me. Mr. Tom grabs one of these for breakfast most mornings. They are packed with protein and will keep you going until that lunch break. My daughter likes to cut them into cubes and keep them in the fridge for a quick bite when you need a pick me up. ANDDDD they just came out with a Limited Edition of yep, you guessed it…Pumpkin!
