Another month has gone by and it’s time for Episode 2.

We haven’t really gone a lot of places this past month. We are in the process of re-doing our kitchen pantry and it’s sucking up the weekends.

There are a few places that are our favorites and I am sharing those with you. Of course, it involves food.

Haha.

We have been here in Minnesota for two years this May and we are still having fun finding new places and frequenting our favorites.

1

Once a month, only for four days you can wander through the Haupt Antique.

There is a new theme each month and it is always nice to see the changes. I get tired of going to antique stores and everything is always the same.

Nine times out of ten we walk out with a little something. We look forward to this each month.

I just love this huge green jar! It’s a bit out of my price range…maybe someday. If they drop the price.

I saw this clock face online (they post pictures on Facebook) and by the time we got there it was sold. Oh well. There will be more. Hopefully.

If you see something on their page or website I think the vendor would be more than happy to ship it to you.

Smallcakes This is a brand new cupcake and ice cream shop that opened literally less than 5 minutes from our house. Not a good thing. Yet wonderful! I think you know what I mean.

They hand mix all the batters resulting in the most moist fluffy cake I think I have ever had. The frosting’s are just the right amount of sweet. Also, they make their ice cream there in the store, too.

Oh goodness, I just drooled on my keyboard!

Mint is my absolute favorite flavor. Ever. Whether it be candy, ice cream or cake. So you can imagine how happy I was to see this as their special flavor of the day.

I wanted to climb over the counter and stuff them all in my mouth. Mr. D was with me so I refrained from doing that. Didn’t want to embarrass him or anything.

chips

This is a new place for us that we went to this past summer. Cocina del Barrio

After church on Sunday we decided to give it a go again and we were not disappointed. It was as good as we remembered! Everything is so fresh and the flavors so crisp and clean. This is in our top 5 places to eat.

We ordered the chips and salsa, of course. The rest we shared…you get to try more plates that way.

Fish tacos, pork carnitas quesadilla and a chicken enchilada. Isn’t the presentation gorgeous?!

I really would LOVE to be a food critic. Haha. Maybe I am…hmmmm.
