EASY HALLOWEEN CANDY CHARCUTERIE BOARD
I think this is one of the most fun charcuterie boards that I have ever put together. Shopping for all my favorite candies is a great way to spend part of the day. Halloween was always so much fun for me growing up. My mom and dad always worked together to make a costume for my brother and I. The one that I remember the most was when we were matching pumpkins. Dad formed the shell out of wire and my Mom covered it in orange fabric with a cute black felt face. A hole was cut in the mouth that we stuck our hand through to carry our plastic pumpkin for all the treats. We wore green leggings and a brown beanie. I know there are costumes like this now that you can buy, but 46 years ago it was pretty cool!
Whether you are planning a Halloween party or looking for something to take to a party here is an Easy Halloween Candy Charcuterie Board for you to make. All you need is a large plate, platter or wooden board to build it on. I used a round wooden board that I have had for years. Then the fun part…go shopping and grab all your favorite candies! I also used a cute little pumpkin bowl that I found at Target.
Here are a few of the candies that I used for my board:
- Gummy Eye Balls and Worms
- Candy Corn
- Hershey Kisses
- Licorice (Red Vines)
- Reece’s Peanut Butter Pretzels
- M & M’s
- Suckers
I put the M & M’s in the pumpkin bowl and added Ghost Peeps then topped it off with a plastic spider to get this look. Have fun with it and just keep adding the candy until it is very full and overflowing.
My favorite candy that I always looked for when I was little was a Giant Chewy Sweet Tart and a Big Hunk. Do they still have those? Leave me a comment and tell me what your favorite candy was growing up.
While I don’t dress up anymore (except to put a black witch’s hat on to pass out candy) there are some pretty neat costumes out now days and I am adding a few here for you.
