Happy Friday friends! I’m sitting at my dining room table with Christmas decor scattered all around me. Looks like a red and white bomb went off in my house! My goal at the beginning of the week was to have all my decor done by Friday night…I have a few more hours. Wish me luck! Before we get to this weeks Friday Favorites here is a story of my craziness. I have a 9′ slim tree that goes on the side of my buffet and after the last few years of coaxing the lights to work it finally said, nope I quit. Tom and I thought we would be smart and cut all the lights off and re-string it. Then I decided I wanted it flocked. Off to the store we went and bought some “snow”. After putting new lights on it and spending 2 days spraying it with flocking and letting it dry in between…we brought it in the house and it looks terrible! Looks like a spray painted tree. LOL So I went and bought a new tree and the old one went in the trash. Take it from me, just go buy a new tree if you want one!
Friday Favorites – My Favorite Things This Week – Vol 13
1. This Mini Bose Speaker is my little best friend! I carry it around the house wherever I am working and even outside. Last summer we even took it out on the boat! The sound is amazing and with it being WiFi you will always have a connection. Here is a new carrying case for it as well.
2. I was able to get another King of Christmas tree this year and it is just beautiful! The style is Noble Fir and I love it for the open branches and it is perfect for my glass ornaments to have plenty of hanging room. Make sure you check out their clearance area. You can get an amazing deal on an open box tree. The ornaments came from Pier1 and they are hand-painted.
3. A vitamin organizer is an old person’s thing I always thought, but it is a lifesaver! Tom and I are on track and this way we always know if we took them that day. I highly recommend it. Of course, I had to find this pretty one!
4. If you don’t have cords with a clicker on your Christmas tree order these now!
5. Another essential for those lights around the house is this smart plug. We use it when we will be home after dark and to have different lights come on when on vacation.
6. Here is a warm drink that we have every evening after dinner while we are relaxing. It will help keep a cold away and is very healthy for the whole family.
Ingredients for ACV Toddy:
- 8 – 10 ounces hot water
- 2 tablespoons Apple Cider Vinegar [with the mother is best…we use Braggs]
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- Honey to taste [1/4 teaspoon or so]
- Sometimes I add a tablespoon of whiskey for an added kick
7. These waterproof booties come from a favorite brand of mine. They are great in the rain or snow and the suede ones are so pretty! At 53% off it is a great deal.
8. I picked up this comforter set today and love the cream with the red stripe is perfect for the holidays. Super warm and cozy this is going on the guest bed. The king size set was only $59!
9. BE KIND is always a good idea and this oversized sweatshirt is such a cute way for the reminder. Soft and cuddly it goes with lots of different colors. I wore it with these cords and got lots of compliments! I’m wearing a size large, but could have gotten a medium.
