Could you use a little inspiration for Mother’s Day? I know I can.  While Mr. Tom and our daughter were out at the Avenger’s movie today I stayed home snuggling with the pup and doing some online shopping. I love my mom and mother-in-law and it’s always a trick to find them something they will love and enjoy.

Here I put together my checklist of 13 Mother’s Day ideas, including some of my favorite things that I actually use on a daily basis or would like to get myself. There are a lot of ideas out there (I read them all) and I wanted to share my personal favorites. Maybe something here will inspire you!

1. Recently, I stumbled on this smartwatch while out shopping with Mr. Tom. He had to come looking for me because I was having so much fun with all the features it has. As an Android phone user, I get tired that the “other brand” always seems to have all the toys. Well, they have nothing on this smartwatch. I love the look and how easy it is to use. Looks really pretty in the rose gold and I am hoping this is wrapped up for me on Mother’s Day.

2. Hands free shopping is the best! The Bedford Backpack is great for when you need to carry more than just a few items and the handbag isn’t quite cutting it. Besides, a handbag gets heavy on one shoulder and I hate leaving my bag in the cart. You hear too many horror stories of them getting swiped. The blush pink backpack is so pretty and will go with any outfit for the season. They are so on trend right now.

3. These Keds floral shoes are my latest obsession. I have worn them every day this week. Is it normal that I am 52 and this is my first pair of Keds?! It isn’t every day that you find a pair of shoes that are comfortable from the “get go” and need no breaking in time at all. I chose these because they are basically white with the flowers on the sides so they will go with anything. Check out #7 below for the collaboration between Keds and Rifle Paper. Get these for your Mom (or yourself) and she will feel like a kid again. Trust me.

4. A floral dress is always a good idea. It lasts longer than flowers and she can dress up to go out to brunch with you! I have gotten stuck in the whole “I wear jeans everyday” mode, but this dress made me rethink my outlook on dresses. The large flowers all over with the wrap style is perfect for any body shape.

5. About 12+ years ago Mr. Tom and I discovered the wonderful world of Nespresso. Since that day they have added so many variety of machines in all shapes and colors. You know your coffee is the best when you will wait to get back home from a day out to have a cup. If you like an espresso or just a great cup of Coffee Americano, this is the best machine hands down. They have a lot of different bean types (you will get variety pack included) and it’s fun to find your favorites.

6. I’ve had a lot of people ask me what products I use on my face. ( Is that good or bad? lol) Being a firm believer in serums, I have used GoPure for about a year now. They use natural ingredients and don’t cost a fortune. I don’t sell them, but they have given me a code to share with you so that you can save some on your order. Use the code “cynthiajanine10” at GoPure for 10% off your order. The difference they have made in my skin is fantastic!

7. Years ago I started keeping a journal and it’s been a great way keep my thoughts that I want to remember just for myself. I have loved going back through them and seeing how far I have come personally or some special moments that I had forgotten about. A floral journal gets me every time and these from Rifle Paper are so adorable.  As I note above, Keds has picked up designs from Rifle Paper to use on their shoes.  So cool!

8. I am the worst at brewing a cup of coffee or tea and getting absorbed in what I am doing and forgetting about it. Seems like I have finished a million cups of cold coffee in my lifetime. With this little cup warmer you can leave it on your desk or where ever you are working and your brew will stay warm. It’s not the older “burnamatics” that you used to see on forgetful people’s desks, this one really regulates the temperature!  Plus, look at how cute it is! Mom will love it…scouts honor.

9. There are so many cute initial necklaces, but I picked this one because it has the little “diamond” detail on it. Isn’t it the cutest? Now do you get Mom one with her initial or yours? Hmmmm.

10. One of my kids gave me a bottle of this Jimmy Choo perfume years ago and it has been one of my favorites since. I believe I am on my third bottle now. It is not overpowering and is described with “notes of black plum nectar.” The bottle is gorgeous, too.

11. Yes, I had to throw candy in here. You can never go wrong with Godiva chocolate. I feel all fancy just getting a gold box. Unless, your Mom doesn’t like chocolate and if that’s the case you HAVE to leave me a comment and let me know. I have heard of these people, but never meet one. 🙂

12. Let’s count the ways we love candles. Honestly, can you think of one place in your home that you couldn’t put a candle? Case closed…they are always a good idea. 🙂 These are my some of my favorites because they come in such fabulous colors and sizes. You can re-purpose the containers for so many things when the candle is finished. Capri Candles statement is “where fashion meets fragrance.”

13. Last but not least, pajamas. I get my Mom a pair every year and she loves them every single time. Maybe she has to. So many cute floral ones out and these are at the top of my list. You can never have too many cute pj’s IMHO.

Here’s hoping that something I listed has given you some inspiration and makes your Mother’s Day shopping a bit easier. Drop me a comment and let me know which item/items you are loving for yourself or that special Mom in your life.
