Before we get onto the post today about the May 2019 Outfit Closet Challenge ~ Part 2, I wanted to tell you about a fun celebration we had.
This past weekend my oldest, Breanna turned 30. Her best friend along with her husband and three adorable boys (all under 5) flew in for the weekend. It was so much fun having “littles” around and I got a taste of what it is going to be like to be a Mimi. It’s gonna be a lot of fun and I’m going to need lots of naps. Haha. We all ate so much cake with tons of sprinkles, which are her favorite.
She is responsible for getting me into blogging and you can see her blog HERE. Thank you, Breanna for making me a mom for the first time!
Now that the May Closet Outfit Challenge is over I wanted to bring you the last two weeks of outfits that were posted on Instagram. Everything in one place for you with links. The funny thing is after a month of no shopping I’m not going crazy buying new things like I thought would happen. I have been eyeing some shoes though, “needing” a black pair of sandals for every day.
These white jeans are perfect with just the right amount of stretch to them without getting saggy after one wear. It took me awhile to find a pair and these fit the bill perfectly. This top is so fun in the green with the leopard print. It has the v-neck in the front and down the back. My shoes are some of my favorites and will be on repeat a lot this summer. Gah! They are so cute.
My watch has been on repeat also and if you use the code: CYTNHIAJANINE15 you will save 15% on your order. They have some brand new styles out!

Funny story…I thought everyone loved and adored Target. A few years ago Mr. Tom and I were out hiking in New Hampshire and a lady stopped me on the trail and ask where I got my top from. It was a long athletic top and I told her Target. She looked at me with disdain and said, “I don’t shop at Target”. I just smiled and kept on walking. Wasn’t quite sure what to think. Haha.
Anyhow, my blazer is one from Target a few years ago and I find that it is perfect to throw on with so many different outfits. Are you a Target lover?

These sandals are so comfortable with the low heel, giving you just the right amount of height. They come in a variety of colors. I did get these last year, but found them still available. Made with a soft stretch elastic, they work for all sizes of feet. I have them in the navy blue and tan and wear them almost everyday.

I wanted to share with you about my new (to me) Louis Vuitton handbag. For quite some time I had been contemplating one of these bags. To be honest, I don’t pay much for a handbag ever and couldn’t quite understand them. Most of them are brown with the logo all over it.
Recently, I went into a vintage store that sold A LOT of different styles and had a great conversation with the owner of the shop. He told me some of the history and how they were made and the material used. The main body is a coated canvas while the trimmings are leather. They last for years and years because of the craftsmanship.
Being very intrigued I decided that I wanted to get one, but not a brand new one. Also, not a huge one…I don’t have that much to carry on a daily basis and it gets too heavy. Plus, one that had some wear and character to it was more appealing to me.
This is what I like about Poshmark…
Super cool note about Poshmark…any upscale item that you purchase over $500 goes to their headquarters where it is authenticated before it is sent on to you. That is a huge peace of mind, because if you are paying hundreds of dollars for something that isn’t real that would be a bummer to say the least. A lot of people know how to tell the difference, but I am not one of them. Needless to say, mine came back as authentic and I am a happy LV owner!
I love this handbag. It’s just the right size for me and it looks almost new. So you can score some really good deals here. I’ve linked my closet under the picture if you would like to check my page out. I have new and pre-loved items.
Do you think you would be game to try a month long no shopping challenge? I would try it again…in the fall perhaps. It was a lot of fun to see what outfit I could pull out for that day.
I linked the exact items when possible and similar when not possible…remember some items I’ve had for awhile. Drop me a comment and let me know what outfit was your favorite in the May 2019 Outfit Closet Challenge ~ 2.

I think the red jacket is my favorite. Loved how you styled these pieces.
Thank you so much! This is a great jacket for layering and grabbing for those restaurant times when they have the air running. 🙂
