VISITING EPCOT DISNEY IN 2020
We are home from Florida! It was so good to be in the warm weather for a week. We enjoyed walks on the beach, getting a sunburn and sitting in the hot tub at night. I can see why people have a hot tub. It sure helped loosen those muscles and bring life back to our feet after walking 16,000+ steps!
Today I am sharing about our trip Visiting Epcot Disney in 2020, along with the pros and cons. Have you been to Epcot and if so what was your favorite thing about it?
Here are the pros:
There are a lot of areas to meet characters and the lines were not long at all. I think we waited about 10 minutes to see Mickey. The photographers are great and will take your picture with your camera/phone. You can also have them take a picture with their camera and it will go to your FastPass account and then you can see them all and make a purchase if you choose.
Mr. Tom thought it was funny that I was the only adult without any kids to get my picture taken with Mary Poppins. I had to! She was really kind and it was so sweet how she took time with each child, talking to them and giving them a hug. She is worth the wait (about 20 minutes the day we were there) if you are a fan of this movie!
The Festival of Arts was going on while we were there. It included some tents set up with paintings and artwork for sale along with some chalk drawings on the sidewalks.
These were just a few chalk drawings that I thought were really cute.
The really fun thing about Epcot is the different countries that you get to visit. It is designed in a circle around a huge body of water where the fireworks are shot off, so you will have a great view from wherever you are in the park. You learn a little about each country and there are drinks and food from each place. There is an occasional ride or a video to show you highlights about the country you are in. Here I am in Canada.
This is Germany.
All the countries you will visit in Epcot:
- Canada
- United Kingdom
- France
- Morocco
- Japan
- United States
- Italy
- Germany
- China
- Norway
- Mexico
There are rumors that they are adding a few more countries with lots of new rides and attractions for the 50th Anniversary of Walt Disney World in 2021 and Epcot’s 40th Anniversary in 2022.
All the flowers and plant sculptures are so adorable and pretty! This Minnesota girl who has seen nothing but white snow for the last few months was in flower heaven!
These were just a few of the plant sculptures around the park.
This has me wanting to go flower shopping for my yard so bad! ♥
The “ball” during the day. There is a ride inside that takes you to the top. It is really HUGE!
Night shot…it is so pretty with all the colors on it.
Cons about Epcot:
- There is A LOT of construction going on and so the entrance is a bit disappointing. It doesn’t have that “wow” factor like the other parks.
- There are not a lot of rides.
- It is geared to the “older” crowd. It is very educational so the kiddos might get a bit bored.
- It is the second largest park with Animal Kingdom being the biggest, but for some reason it feels smaller than Disney World.
- I wouldn’t go again until all the construction is finished in the next year or two.
- There are no parades.
- The fireworks were ho-hum although the lighted drones were pretty cool. (You can see the whole fireworks show on my IG highlights)
Top // Shorts // Sneaks // Watch // Bracelet
I can’t let you go without telling you about my outfit. My top and shorts came from Amazon and I am quickly becoming a fan of shopping for clothes there. This t-shirt is great quality and comes in lots of patterns. My shorts have a soft waistband and makes them a perfect fit. The cargo pockets are great to put your phone in while on a ride to keep it secure. My shoes were a Christmas gift from my daughter. They are so comfortable! This was the first time I wore them and after walking over 16,000 steps this day my feet still felt great and they were not sore at all. This means a lot since I have had leg surgery and a supportive shoe is imperative. I’m looking to get another pair in a new Spring release color.

Yea Epcot is mostly for “traveling” around the world and some of the rides like Frozen and Nemo-my favorite! When you return to Florida let me know, would love to connect!
Sounds like fun! We usually go in Feb every year. Hope you are doing well and have a great day!
