I hope you are enjoying the Weekend Wandering episodes as much as I am. It is fun sharing with you the places we explore on the weekends.
I am really excited that the weather is warming up and hope to have lots of water pictures soon! I love to go where there is water…whether it be a lake or the beach.
What are some summer adventures you are heading off to this year?
Hope you like lots of pictures because there are a bunch coming up! Read on…
This is the outside of the Tin Bin in the adorable little town of Stillwater, MN. The town is directly across from the St. Criox River and is referred to as the birthplace of Minnesota. We love coming here year round and this is one of our favorite places to get something to eat.
They always have a special and this time it was egg salad on a fluffy croissant. Complete with a crunchy pickle and vegetable potato chips.
They have so many wonderful desserts and they are homemade there. So hard to choose!
This time we “settled” on a chocolate chip cookie with a gooey caramel all throughout. Wonderful. Incredible. I want more now.
I am still having fun learning my new camera and this color option was really cool. I had it set on green and it picked up the color in the helmet and bike petals. Thought it was pretty cool and wanted to share it with you.
This is a wall that they have painted in the town. It was fun to imagine how it would have been in 1931.
One more! If you follow me on Instagram you will have seen this picture. I love how someone wrote on each step and I like to look at the picture often. It is so inspiring. I am thinking about enlarging it and hanging it in my house. Click here to read more about Stillwater.
This is at a beautiful place called Taylor Falls. Although we were never able to find any falls it is a great place to go for a hike and explore the glacier potholes. They are really deep holes that are filled with water and some of them they have never been able to find the bottom. You can hike for miles, kayak or canoe and even take a paddle boat ride. It is also located along the St. Criox River.
It is always fun to explore with Mr. T…altho’ if you are trying to eat healthy he will help you fall off the bandwagon really fast. Haha.
Our daughter’s birthday was on May 27th and she requested some letter donuts for her special day. So in the wind and rain I made my way downtown to someplace I had never been for her treats. Of course you have to get more that what you special ordered, right?! AND of course, you always get what your child wants no matter how old they are.
Oh ya…about 5 of these babies made it into a bag…because you can never have enough donuts.
Isn’t this cake sooooo pretty! I have always wanted to try making one of these. I think I will just order it.
Here are these donuts she wanted. It was really fun trying all the different flavors. My favorites were the maple bacon (the D) and the raspberry (the Y on day). Click here to find out more about Angel Food Bakery.
Now I am off for more exploring for Episode 4…Have an awesome day!
