EASY CRANBERRY BRIE BITES
Can you believe we only have a few more days until Christmas? It feels like it came so fast…maybe because Thanksgiving was later in the month this year. We have our family gift exchange of pajamas (we draw names now that the kids are grown) on Christmas Eve. Also, we will be decorating cookies, making cocktails and watching movies.
I love everything about Christmas. Yes, even the madness of it all…it’s magical! The decorations, music, shopping and especially the appetizers. Today, I am sharing another family favorite…Easy Cranberry Brie Bites. They are so simple you will be whipping out pans of them in no time at all! I seriously think the appetizers are better than the main meal. Little savory bites are the best.
I usually make these with dried cranberries and this time used dried cherries. I can’t decide which is better!
With a little touch of honey, cinnamon, crunchy pecans plus, the tartness of the cherry it is the perfect combination with the brie cheese. Warm and melty you will have a hard time eating just one. They are yummy cooled, too! These are perfect paired with your favorite red or white wine.
I used a pre-baked filo dough. You can find these in your freezer section at the grocery store. You will have these done in no time at all! If it’s an adult only get together you could add a hit of your favorite bourbon or whisky to the mix for an extra kick of flavor.
Other dried fruits that I thought about later that would be good:
- apples
- apricots
- strawberries
- cherries
- cranberries
- dates
What would be your favorite combination?
Did you see the recipe for fudge? If you missed it you can read it here and these mini cheesecakes are great, too.

I can’t wait to try this. I know the winter holidays are long over, but cranberries can still find a place in spring and summer.
