Sparkling Strawberry Sangria

Hi friends! With the promise of Spring coming and the weather getting warmer I just can’t help but think of sitting on the patio with my favorite glass of wine. {I’m bringing back a post from last summer.} I put this Sparkling Strawberry Sangria together for a collaboration with my daughter who made a fun cake. It doesn’t have to be the 4th of July for these yummy recipes. What is your favorite drink that makes you think of Spring-time?

Just put your favorite white wine and sparkling water in the fridge to get it nice and cold and you can put this cocktail together in a snap. Say sliced strawberries 3 times real fast and you will have it done. You can half this easily or double it. The recipe is at the end of the post if you want to skip my story telling.

A Refreshing Summer Cocktail

When my daughter asked me if I wanted to come up with a cocktail to go along with her strawberry geode cake, I was all too happy to oblige.

We had a fun few hours mixing up drinks and slicing into her delicious gorgeous cake. It is a moist strawberry cake with buttercream icing in 3 layers all snuggled together in a fun red, white and blue design. A little back porch sitting, catching up on the week and it was the perfect afternoon.

You can see her cake and patriotic party decorations on her blog HERE. So many cute ideas just in time for your 4th of July party. These would also be wonderful for Labor Day which will be here in no time at all.

Just look at that cake! So adorable! On her blog you can get the full recipe and be the star of your party.

When our family lived in Colorado, we lived near where the city 4th of July fireworks display was every year. It was so much fun to host a party.  Each year the decorations got a little bigger and the crowd a little larger. Our last party there were over 40 people. We loved it! Everyone brought food, blankets and fireworks and when the city show was over, ours continued on. Good memories.

Tell me about your 4th of July celebration. Do you have something that you do every year or change it up? I would love to hear about it.

Have a wonderful 4th of July!

Cheers! ~ Cindy

HERE is the glass pitcher that I used for my sangria in the 28 ounce and HERE is a bigger one in 54 ounces. You can never have too many cocktail spoons and HERE is a great deal on the ones I use.

If you missed my recipe last week you can read it HERE…it would go perfect with this Sparkling Strawberry Sangria.
