Hi Ladies! I ordered some coats and shackets from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and these are the ones that have come in so far. I wanted to show them to you as soon as possible so that you can check on sizes and availability. Daily notices of restocks from my wish list are rolling in. I’m recommending that you check it soon as they send you a notice because they go fast! This is something that I learned recently. Everything that I’m showing you today is still available except for one.
Our weather has turned really hot again and we are back to the high 90’s. I got one picture outside and decided it was just too hot and so we moved indoors. Here are my 8 Nordstrom Coat Picks with all my personal opinions. Which one is your favorite?
For size reference I am 5′ 5″ and weight 170 lbs. I will share the size I’m wearing under each picture.
PINK PLAID SHACKET || TOP || JEANS || SHOES
This pink plaid shacket is from BB Dakota and I’m wearing a large. This is a lighter weight shacket that is unlined and will be perfect for fall and spring. Very soft material! It has snaps down the front and and at the cuffs. There are pockets on the side seamline and this is the only drawback to me, I would like the pockets to be a little more towards the front. It’s a keeper though!
Another shacket from BB Dakota in a grey combo. I am wearing a large and recommend sizing down. The shoulders are a bit too large for my liking, but if you like an oversized look to have room for a bulky sweater a larger size would be better. The body is thicker than the arm material. It has side pockets on the seamline as well. Big buttons down the front that are easy to button and also on the cuffs. I really like the contrasting sleeves and the color combination.
PLAID PEACOAT || JEANS || SHOES
This is the green plaid brushed peacoat from Halogen. I’m wearing a size Medium. It is a perfect fit with room to wear a sweater (although not a bulky one) underneath. Fully lined and pockets in the right place! The brushed material makes it very soft and extremely comfortable. The greens are stunning a lot prettier in person!
SHIRT JACKET || JEANS || SHOES
Honestly I wasn’t too sure about this one and then when I tried it on really liked it! I’m wearing a size Medium. From Free People in navy tobacco combo color. Unlined and lightweight with a slight fringe on the ends. Snaps on the cuffs and down the front. It’s not a super soft material, but fine with long sleeves underneath. Side slit pockets and a gradual color change make this shirt jacket really awesome.
ZELLA AMAZING COZY WRAP JACKET
They sure named this one right! Amazing AND cozy. The body has a soft (blanket like) fleece lining in the body. Two snaps on the front keep the neckline up high for warmth. You can even cinch it up for a cozier fit. Pockets and a longer length make this perfect for a walk outside or a day of running errands on a cold day. One of the most comfortable jackets I’ve tried on in a long time! I’m wearing a large.
The Halogen shawl collar coat in blue-pink plaid. The coat is stunning! Soft like wearing a blanket from your childhood. I can see myself wearing this for going out to dinner with a pair of pants and boots to jeans and sneaks to run errands. I’m wearing a medium and it’s a perfect fit. Side pockets and a back slit. This one is sold out, but put it on your wish list for your best chance to get yours! The colors are amazing and you will get TONS of compliments.
SAILOR STRIPE DOUBLE BREASTED PEACOAT
I really lucked out with the soft coats this year! This is a new brand for me Avec Les Filles and I am impressed. Fully lined, great pocket placement and hits just below the hip. I’m wearing a Medium with plenty of room for a thicker sweater. If you are in between sizes I think you could comfortably size down. The navy and white (more like a soft grey) combo is so pretty.
I’m wearing a teddy bear and absolutely LOVE it! Fully lined with a button down front. Pockets in the perfect place! I’m wearing a large and there are only a few left so you might want to grab it fast. By BLANKNYC one of my favorite brands for jeans, too.
