Hi ladies, happy Friday…Happy April 1st! I’m currently sitting at a local coffee shop and enjoying the change of scenery. Now if I can just keep myself from the pastry counter! I have been getting some questions about what I use on my hair so today’s favorites will all be the products that I am currently using and love for hair.

FRIDAY FAVORITES – MY FAVORITE THINGS THIS WEEK – VOL 24

SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER

1. Let’s start with the shampoo. Bumble and Bumble is one of my favorite brands. It can be a little pricey, but it lasts a LONG time! They are all okay for colored hair and not full of what I like to call the “yuckies.” Same for the conditioner, a little goes a long way.

ANOTHER SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER OPTION

2. This one from Monday is another GREAT option that is a lot more reasonably priced. I do use this once or twice a month just to switch it up a bit. Another “cleaner” option and the conditioner will leave your hair silky soft. It comes in Gentle, Smooth, Volume and Moisture.

DRY SHAMPOO

3. If you asked me the question “What one hair product would you take with you if you could only have one?” Dry Shampoo! I use it daily. Spray it on your roots before you go to bed OR before you take a shower (with your hair wrapped in a towel) OR even to set your hair. Why this one from Bumble and Bumble again?! It comes in a dark brown and helps to cover the roots between salon visits and it holds super well. Nothing is worse than having dark hair and you are left with a white halo after spraying it in!

PRIMER

4. A primer is a really good idea no, a GREAT idea for your hair BEFORE you dry it. It protects your hair from heat and also has UV protection from the sun. I never realized how those rays can damage your hair, even inside lighting! This bottle lasts me at least 6 months and I promise you will love it!

VOLUMISTA

5. A little spritz when your hair is wet before drying goes a long way. It will give you a lift yet leave your hair silky soft. I put it on the roots and just started recently to started using it all over. I found that Volumista is helping my curls stay longer as well.

SUPERSHINE

6. Yes, this is another that I put in BEFORE drying my hair. So that brings the total to 3. This supershine is properly named! It gives your hair a bit of shine and just an overall healthy look without weighing it down. Just a dime size (or less) dollop from the middle of your hair down will do the trick!

WET/DRY BRUSH

7. I seriously thought that these brushes were just something for little kids and adults didn’t use them. I have NO IDEA where this thought process came from! My hair stylist daughter bought this brush for me a few years ago and it’s all I have used since. Brushes my wet hair out perfectly and give some volume when my hair is dry.

HAIR DRYER

8. Okay, investing in a good hair dryer is a hard thing to do. After years of using the ones for $20 that left my hair damaged and brittle I ditched it for this dryer from T3 a few years ago. I noticed the difference immediately. No more frizzy hair after the first use and no burning smell from the hair dryer! I also have the curling iron and straighter from the same brand.

DYSON AIR WRAP

9. This is brand new to me and I call it the “mack-daddy” of hair tools. After thinking about it for over a year and watching LOTS of YouTubes on it I decided I was going to bite the bullet. Then I couldn’t get one! Sold out everywhere! So I cooled my jets and just waited to see if one popped up. Sure enough about a month ago one became available on QVC. I ordered right away and got one! They sold out in hours. Crazy! Since I have seen them pop up on Ulta and Best Buy. I’m going to do a whole post on it soon and go into more detail of each attachment. First impression…it is not intimidating AT ALL to use! My curls last for days and my hair is feeling even better (totally amazing!). I describe this as SOFT and TENDER. It would be an amazing gift for Mother’s Day!

TURBIE TWIST

10. A few years ago this is another wonder that I discovered and use daily and take one with me when we travel. The turbie twist hair towel. On the days that I’m not washing my hair it keeps my hair nice and dry and out of the way when I shower. On the days that I do wash it soaks up the water pretty good and makes drying time quicker. I keep my eye out for them at TJMaxx and grab them when I see them as well as ordered them from Amazon. I’ve linked a pack of 4 that is a good deal and will get you on your way!

FINISHING SPRAY

11. Texture/Finishing spray I use. I have also tried a sample of the shampoo and conditioner and really liked those as well!

I know it’s a lot of products and a lot of $$$, but these products I only buy about once every 6 months or so (longer for some) so it actually pans out in the end and I love that I’m not running out to buy products all the time. Using products that are on the “cleaner” side is very important to me as well. If you have any questions at all about anything I mentioned here today I would be happy to answer them!
