Happy Friday! We have had every season this week, freezing to taking a walk in the sun. I’m hoping it holds this weekend. We have a new table and chairs for our patio that have been sitting in the garage for almost a month now and I’m itching to get it put together and set up the back patio. What are you up to this weekend? I would love to hear your news!
Friday Favorites – My Favorite Things This Week – Vol 27
1. Brahmin handbags have been a favorite of mine for years. They are so timeless and classic! There are many new bright colors out for the spring and summer season. Don’t forget Mother’s Day, this would be a gorgeous gift. I have a new one on it’s way to me and I can’t wait to style it for you.
SUNLESS TANNING
2. I have been getting some inquires about sunless tanning products over on IG. Here are three of my favorite that I go back and forth between depending on how much time I have and how quickly I want the tan to develop. Beauty By Earth (wonderful clean product!) they have face tanner as well. Tan Luxe self-tan drops (you add it to your favorite lotion) St. Tropez self tan in whipped marshmallow (love how it smells and you will get color right away).
3. Have your tried the Trunk Club from Nordstrom? I have gotten about 4 boxes now and I love it! They show you what is coming in your box and if there are any color/size changes that you would like to make OR you can change an item all together. When you have a Nordstrom card the styling fee of $25 is waived. My first few boxes I kept a few items and the last two I sent everything back. It’s a fun way to shop and I like that they send you pieces that maybe you would have not tried before.
4. There is a few more days for the T3 sale at 20% any products! This brand a little bit on the pricier side (not Dyson pricey), but they are wonderful tools and I have the hairdryer, curling iron and straightener. Mine still look and work like brand new and I just got the new AireBrush Duo. They have a technology that adjusts the temperature to your hair profile. You can also take a hair quiz so you know which tools are best for you. Save 20% site wide with code: FAMILY20
5. Have you checked out Draper James? They have everything from clothes to items for the home and more. We have a new store opening in the Mall of America and I can’t wait to check it out. I have this dress on it’s way to me! It will be going with me to Florida and I think it’s going to be perfect for a date night.
6. Lately, I have been working on replacing my afternoon coffee with a healthier alternative in the afternoons. This superfood matcha is giving me a natural caffeine boost along with some good nutrients as well. I like to mix it with some warmed almond milk and a sprinkle of cinnamon on top. It’s also Keto friendly!
7. This is not something that us ladies are comfortable talking about, but sometimes we just get dry, especially after menopause. Painful, scratchy, burning and more. Of course, I went down a rabbit hole looking for a healthier alternative after my doctor prescribed a medicine for me that was not only natural but was $260 a month! Not wanting a suppository (messy) or a cream that you put on right before sex. I found Membrasin Vaginal Moisture supplement. I have been taking it for about 2 weeks now and starting to notice a difference and daily burning has been greatly reduced. Two a day by mouth contains sea berry fruit and seed oils along with essential omega fatty acids. The best part is it’s estrogen free. I’m very happy with this product!
8. I have shared my individual cheesecake recipe here before, but this past weekend I added a new twist and wanted to share it with you. I found some Lemon Curd at Trader Joe’s and put a little spoonful on the top of each one and swirled it in. So good! I just can’t even begin to tell you. Top it with a few fresh blackberries and it’s so pretty. If you don’t have a Trader Joe’s near you any lemon curd found by the jelly in your local store will work great!
9. My favorites are all over the place this week! Tom and I groom Mia on a regular basis and I was using an old hair dryer on her. Well, it gets too hot and the noise has her trying to bury herself between my legs. I bought this professional dog dryer and she was not intimidated by it at all! It has different temperature settings and how strong you want it to blow. What we really like that it gets her undercoat real dry and make her look so cute and fluffy! If you bathe/groom your dog at home this is totally worth it.
10. I’m old school and like to write my lists down on paper. If I put it on my phone I will never find it again, ha! What I like about this daily planner notepad because it helps to prioritize the day plus, helps with meals and water intake. Leave it on the counter and then your family can see what you are up to that day!
