Happy Friday! The first Friday of August. This is another busy month for our family [June is the other] with birthdays and celebrations. There will be a few lake days, Tom’s birthday and our 35th anniversary. Next year we will be adding my daughter’s wedding, too! This weeks Friday Favorites – Vol 38 has products that I have been using for awhile and some new things as well.
This is what happens when it’s almost 90 degrees outside and you have been taking pictures of coats and sweaters for a few hours! Do you see Mia?
FRIDAY FAVORITES – VOL 38
These illuminating self tanning drops are still my favorite and I have been using it all summer long. It just takes a few drops in your favorite lotion and I even use it on my face. I’m only about a third of the way through the bottle so this will last you a long time!
How does Smoked Berry Bramble sound? It had me at Berry. This is such a great cocktail mix and I really like that you can mix it with some sparkling water or add your favorite vodka and that’s it. So easy! It is on a summer sale and there are more flavor options.
We are still working on changing a few things up in our living room [excited to have our new couch delivered next week] and picked up these ceramic lamp bases at Target last week. I really like them and you can’t beat the price! Tom was really happy because the ones I was looking at before were over $300 each. You will still need to get a shade that I got at Target as well with a grand total of $66 in each lamp. They look really good and totally happy with them!
I found this adorable swing dress at Old Navy for $75 less than a similar one at Evereve. Wear it now with sandals and then in the fall with a pair of booties. Denim on denim is on trend for the fall again this year.
This is the sweater that I am wearing in the above picture. Seriously cannot wait for it to cool off so I can wear it. I have it in 2 colors!
You know my love of sweatshirts and I just ordered this one from Aerie. It’s oversized and a medium works well for me to pair with bike shorts and leggings. I wear them with jeans and boots, too. They are having a big undies sale right now!
While I don’t buy a lot of canned foods I do like to keep pumpkin, coconut milk and black beans on hand. I’m always losing track of what I have and expiration dates. I’ve been looking for some storage options and have settled on this organizer. I would LOVE to hear your tips for storing canned food items!
It’s embarrassing and we don’t like to talk about it, but wow so many people deal with it! Nail Fungus. I started getting it after the birth of my third child 27 years ago. Just on my right foot. I have taken the prescription meds and it took it away for awhile then quickly came back. I’ve tried oils, creams and soaking my foot…nothing. I thought I would give this nail renewal a go and by golly, it is doing a pretty good job! [been using it consistently for about 2 months] My nails were almost black and now they are almost back to white and I am seeing some clear nail in the growth. Keeping my fingers crossed and wanted to share in case you are having the same experience.
My kids keep telling me I should work out with some resistance bands. There are a lot of videos to help you along the way on YouTube. Keep your fingers crossed for me! Have you used them?
These are the jeans that I mentioned in my post HERE about being to big and I re-ordered in a smaller size. I reordered them in a 10 this time and they are a great fit. So comfortable and I like the flipped exposed hem for something different. They look cute with sandals now and booties in the fall.
