Setting A Simple Patio TableHi friends, I hope you are having a great week so far. Honestly, I am itching to get back to the lake! It’s looking like we may be able to take off again for a week or so and I am furiously looking for a place. We never plan ahead far enough and then it’s a mad scramble to find a lake house to go to. It’s my dream to live on a lake one day, so far it’s just a dream. That’s okay though, we should all have a dream that we strive for. What is your dream place to live?

Last week I talked about the Japanese Beetle problem we were having and looks like we may be getting it under control. Keeping fingers crossed.

We have been sitting outside for our meals as much as possible and I wanted to share with you how I Set a Simple Patio Table.

Setting A Simple Patio TableMost everything here I already had, although there are a few new pieces. The plates and napkins are a newer find from Homegoods and the rest of the pieces were from around the house. It’s fun to look around and see what you can use to put together a pretty table setting. Grab a candle, some flowers and a bottle of wine…it can be that simple!Setting A Simple Patio TableSetting A Simple Patio TableI do like to use a tablecloth with a pattern on it. It helps with the “need” to put too many things on the table. This one is pretty bright and I’m loving it for summer. These here and here fit a square table perfectly…they also work on a larger table. Just position it at an angle for a fun look. It doesn’t have to cover the whole table.

Setting A Simple Patio TableMy plates that I used here are Melamine and I love using them outside. I don’t have to worry about dropping and breaking them!

Setting A Simple Patio TableSetting A Simple Patio TableWhen I was setting this table out on our back patio Mr.Tom came home with some take-out for lunch and he loved it! It made me think how long it had been since I made a little effort to set a pretty table. So maybe next time you sit down to eat, grab a few “pretties” from around your home and set a simple table. It will make your meal a little elevated and remember…have fun with it, there is no right or wrong way. Just enjoy!
