HAPPY FIRST DAY OF SPRING! It’s here…we made it. Now if the weather would just get on board. In my dreams we wake up on the first day of spring to green grass, flowers blooming and all the birds singing. Not in Minnesota. We have 2 more months before the fear of frost is over. That is usually around Mother’s Day.
Today I am bringing you my Perfect Creamy Vanilla Ice Cream that I worked on for a long time. I think I made this about 6 times before I got it to the perfect creamy consistency. With us being all stuck inside for awhile this would be a great way to celebrate a new season. Enjoy! Leave me a comment and tell me your favorite ice cream topping.
This recipe is for a 2 quart ice cream maker. You can easily double this for a bigger machine. This is the ice cream maker that I use. I love it because it is compressor driven and that means no having to add ice.
Some of my favorite toppings:
- Fudge
- Marshmallow
- Strawberries
- Whipped Cream
- Nuts
- Caramel
- Chocolate Candy
My little cups are Fiesta Ware and and you can find them HERE and HERE. Also, these are the ice cream containers that I use to store the ice cream in the freezer.

Perfect Creamy Vanilla Ice Cream
Ingredients
- 3 large eggs
- 4 tbsp instant vanilla pudding
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup whole milk
- 2 1/2 cups whipping cream
- 1 tsp real vanilla
Instructions
- In a meduim sized bowl whisk eggs until nice and smooth.
- Add instant pudding and blend well.
- Blend in sweetened condensed milk until smooth.
- Add your milks and blend well.
- Stir in vanilla.
- Pour into your ice cream maker and freeze according to your machines instructions.
