I’ve been making a list and checking it twice to make sure I have everything we will need for the 4th of July. I love to decorate the house from the front to back with red, white and blue! Today’s Friday Favorites – My Favorite Things This Week – Vol 35 is all about making sure we have everything we need. What are your plans for the holiday?

Our plans include: grilling LOTS of different meats, playing yard games (our favorites are corn hole & croquet), a splash pad to keep us and the dogs cooled off and a walk around the neighborhood when it gets dark to see all the fireworks!
Friday Favorites – My Favorite Things This Week – Vol 35
Tee Shirt – you got to have a great outfit! I ordered this tee for Tom and he loves it. It will be here in plenty of time for the 4th. They have it in ladies sizes as well and lots of colors!
Sunscreen – this sunscreen from Pacifica is a favorite of ours because of the smell (think fruit and tropical) and it is on the “cleaner” side of ingredients. Works great, too! See my post 11 Sunscreens Rated by Smell.
Swimsuit – This swimsuit in red, white and blue is so cute. Swimsuits for the whole family are Buy 1 Get 1 Free this week at Target!
Sandals – My daughter talked me into these and now I want all the colors! Seriously, they are so great. I wear them out in the yard, to the mailbox and a quick trip to the store. You can get them wet, too! They are perfect for the beach and going to the pool.
Beach towel – For the beach of course AND…the pool, sitting in the grass, wrapping up in when you get chilly and even a tablecloth! This one is quick dry and comes with a travel bag. Which one is your favorite? Mine is the dark green one.
Sunglasses – Sooooo cute and fun for the 4th and all summer long!
Cooler bag – A blogger friend was talking about this cooler and it’s so pretty! It has really great reviews and great for these hot summer days. Perfect for road trips and pool days. Don’t forget to keep your sunscreen in the cooler, feels so much better when it’s cool!
Bug Spray – After spending a few hours (literally) researching bug spray I settled on this one. Wanting something that is deet free and not full of heavy chemicals this sounds pretty good. I like that it is made in the US as well. Mosquitos absolutely LOVE me and I get eaten alive! It will be here next week and I’ll give you an update for sure. It’s also a tick repellent!
Fake Tattoos – Every year we wear these tattoos for the 4th of July! Easy to put on and get off and perfect for kids, too! Tip: use a wet washcloth to hold the tattoo on your skin for about 30 seconds. Works perfect every time!
Tableware set – Here is a tableware set for 25 people. I like that everything coordinates and throw away is essential! No one wants to do dishes after fireworks. Here is a 2-pack of tablecloths that look really nice, too!
